The short version. There are no accounts on Lanadle.com. Your guesses, results and streaks are stored by your own browser and are never sent to us. When you finish a daily puzzle, an anonymous +1 is added to that day's completion counter. There is no advertising on the site.
Who this policy applies to
This policy covers lanadle.com and the games published on it. Lanadle.com is an independent, fan-made puzzle site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Lana Del Rey, her record labels or her management. You can reach us through the contact page about anything in this policy, including a request to exercise your rights.
Game progress, kept on your device
Your guesses, completed puzzles, win statistics and daily streaks are written to your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is not connected to a name, an email address or an account. If you clear your browser data for this site, or play in a private window, your streaks and statistics are erased and we cannot restore them.
Completion counter
Each game shows how many players have finished today's puzzle. When you finish, your browser sends a single anonymous increment for that game and date to a public counter service (abacus.jasoncameron.dev), and reads the current total back. No name, account, guess or score is sent. Like any web request, it carries your IP address and browser details to that service. A note in your browser's local storage makes sure you are only counted once per game per day.
Ordinary web request data
When your browser loads a page or fetches a daily puzzle, our servers receive the information every web request carries: your IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use this to serve the site, keep it available and protect it against abuse. It is held for a short period in server logs and is not used to build a profile of you.
Fonts and analytics
The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests it from Google's servers. We also look at aggregated traffic figures to understand which games people play and where the site is slow or broken. These figures are reported to us in summary form and are not used to identify individual visitors.
Cookies
Lanadle.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The game relies on your browser's local storage, described above, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and California law, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Because we hold no accounts and no game data, there is usually nothing to return, but you can always ask through the contact page. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
These games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Significant changes will be explained here.
